Designation: Senior Manager – Application Services

Location: SRMIST Kattankulathur campus, Chennai

Qualification: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Software Engineering

Experience: 10+ years of experience in the field or a related area.

Job Description: Being a leader of SRMIST Application Development and Support team, he/she should be a results-oriented executive with demonstrated experience in enterprise technology strategy and delivery, who works closely with Director-ITKM to deliver excellent software solutions that meet business needs. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership, technology general management experience and have previously built robust, scalable platforms/products by rapidly iterating, constantly learning and optimizing.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the strategic development of mission-critical systems to support all business units.
  • Interacts regularly with senior business leaders to understand business requirements.
  • Defines technical and application strategies to support business needs; considering IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, and custom development as appropriate, weighing the benefits of functional requirements vs. cost vs. time to deliver vs. long-term support requirements.
  • Nurture an organization that is committed to constant improvement and iteration of its products and services – implement agile development practices focused on accelerating delivery without compromising on quality.
  • Drive a strong engineering culture based on transparency, collaboration, and teamwork.
  • Applies industry best practices, cutting-edge technologies, and software engineering principles to solve business problems while also achieving long-term scalability and reduced operational costs within the organization.
  • Oversees large teams on complex, enterprise-wide projects from conception to completion.
  • Defines strategy for onsite/offshore/near-shore support of systems.
  • Sets standards for system development, production support, SDLC, and application lifecycle management across the entire Application Development group.
  • Defines SLA’s and programs for continuous improvement across all development teams.
  • Manages the Application Development capital and expense budgets.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Skilled in business, technical management and people leadership. Proven experience in cloud technologies and application architectures. Proven experience in systems development for a mobile workforce and a highly dynamic organization.
  • Understanding of industry trends and emerging systems development technologies
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the proven ability to create business cases/ ROI statements that will gain support from business partners.
  • A demonstrated record of accomplishment of success in forging and developing an excellent relationship with key clients and stakeholders
  • Executive presence with the ability to interpret technology issues for consumption by non-technology leaders and users.

Designation: Analyst – Technology Services

Location: SRMIST Kattankulathur, Chennai

Qualification: Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Software Engineering

Experience: 5+ years of experience in the field or a related area.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Should have hands-on experience in maintaining and configuring Network – LAN/ WAN/ DMZ/ VPN – Firewall (Checkpoint / WatchGuard), Load balancer (Radware /Netscaler, Routers, / L3/L2 Switch (Cisco Catalyst & Nexus, Aruba and HP and Aruba Wi-Fi controller,
  • Coordinating with ISP vendors for new links and Maintenance of ISP Links
  • Monitoring networks and their redundant links for uptime and ensuring service availability as per SLA
  • Monitoring and hardening security/performance patch/firm-ware updates to all Data Centre devices and equipment to close any vulnerabilities
  • Monitoring Network security devices findings and act upon them to improve security posture
  • Resolving tickets relevant to Network and Network security domain as per SLA
  • Ensuring ownership of the support ticket from the time its report till the closure and maintain SLA
  • Should be self-driven and requires minimum oversight from the Manager
  • Should have knowledge of incident management and Change management
  • Should be willing to support after hours and on weekends and holidays in case of any support issues get reported over the weekend
  • Link load balancer (Server Farm, Virtual IPs, Port Multiplexing, NAT, PAT, HTTP Redirects, Dispatch Methods)
  • Application delivery controller (SSL offload, VPN, Reverse proxy, Server Load Balancing, WAF, ADNS, VDI)
  • Firewall (IPS, Threat prevention policies, VPN, etc.)
  • Wi-Fi network (SSID, WLAN, WLC, band, radio, channel, Antenna, NAC, etc.)

Designation: Manager – IT Services Delivery

Experience: 8+ years of experience in the field or a related area.

Job Description: Looking for an experienced IT Service delivery manager with the objective of creating a seamless and secure technology experience for students and employees at SRMIST. Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of how technology is used by SRMIST community and identify what works well, and isolate areas to continually improve the service delivery
  • Lead a team of technologists, including hiring, workload management, coaching, development, performance management, discipline and termination etc. and ensure that projects and services are delivered as per agreed terms
  • Implementing the best practices and ensure policies and procedures are followed
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate complex technology issues and solutions to non-technical senior leaders and executives
  • Accountable for the end-to-end service delivery
  • Ensure that team members are familiar with IT service delivery processes and best practices and offer training as necessary.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Experience with implementing IT Service Management frameworks, such as ITIL
  • Creative, curious, passionate, high-energy, and driven, but doesn’t take themselves too seriously and knows how to have fun while operating at entrepreneurial, start-up-like speeds. Most importantly: has a bias for action and business impact
  • Significant experience in leading IT Helpdesk, network design and administration, systems management and monitoring, information security teams
  • Experience applying lean thinking and agile techniques to IT service delivery
  • Experience with implementing and managing IT controls and audit processes is highly desirable
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative setting that requires you to take initiative, manage time effectively, and be persuasive to get buy-in from other teams
  • Proven record of accomplishment of strong cross-organizational collaboration and partnership
