The SRM Research Institute at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) in cell signaling laboratory. ​The PDF is responsible for performing research activities and experiments in the laboratory on several aspects of research projects.  The candidate should be familiar with concepts in cellular & molecular biology, animal cell culture and animal handling or other related experience. This position will require good oral and written communication skills in scientific English. The PDF should have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment towards timely execution of projects. An advanced knowledge in molecular biology is preferred.

Applications are invited from highly motivated doctoral candidates for the post of Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) under Scheme for Promotion of Academic and Research Collaboration (SPARC), Govt. of India sponsored project entitled, “Asian summer monsoon anticyclone (ASMA): Gateway of surface pollutants to the stratosphere”.

Eligibility:  PhD in Atmospheric Sciences /PhD in Physics with thesis work on Atmospheric Sciences along with 1st class in the preceding degrees. Candidates having experience in Asian Summer Monsoon, Stratospheric tropospheric exchange processes, knowledge of Lagrangian transport model and high performance computing (HPC) will be preferred.

Fellowship Rs.35,000/- pm.

Positions: 2

Duration: 2 Year (Initially for the period of one year which will be extended to second year based on satisfactory performance).

Special opportunity: Selected candidates will have opportunity to visit abroad (Japan and Germany) for a period of at least six months and to work with highly distinguished scientists from reputed Institute/University. While in abroad monthly allowance of $1000 (About 71,000 INR) per month will be paid plus local hospitality by host professor.

Travel Allowance: For outstation candidate third AC train fare (to and fro) will be paid.
